Custom branding example
No Extra Gameplay
Permission Boosts do not add any new gameplay functionality. Everything available through Permission Boosts can already be achieved for free using the built-in XP Boost Token items and admin commands.
- Free method: Award boost token items via milestone rewards or commands — players activate them by right-clicking
- Permission Boosts: Same boosts, but players activate via UI instead of items — purely an admin workflow preference
- Both require: Creative mode or OP status to configure — this is admin tooling, not player advantage

Frequently Asked Questions
Do Permission Boosts add new gameplay or advantages?
No. Permission Boosts are purely an admin workflow feature. The exact same XP boosts are available for free via boost token items that players can right-click to activate. Permission Boosts simply let admins grant boosts through permission nodes (LuckPerms/HyperPerms) instead of distributing items. Both methods require creative mode or OP status to configure.
What is the Config Manager?
The Config Manager gives you full control over your server configs. Export your configs as shareable presets, browse and import community presets from the gallery, and swap between different setups instantly. 12 visual config editors let you build XP maps, skill trees, command rewards, and more right in your browser. Your current configs are backed up automatically before any changes.
What does Pro Edition (Bundle) include?
Pro Edition (Bundle) includes everything: Config Manager, Permission Boosts, custom branding (your logo and server name on skill pages), and the ability to hide plugin credits. Available as a one-time lifetime purchase or monthly subscription.
Do plans expire?
Lifetime plans are valid for the lifetime of the mod and Hytale — as long as MMO Skill Tree is actively maintained and Hytale is available as a platform, your license remains active. The Pro Edition Monthly subscription renews each month and can be canceled anytime.
What does "lifetime" mean exactly?
"Lifetime" refers to the operational lifetime of MMO Skill Tree and the Hytale platform — not a perpetual guarantee. Your purchase remains valid as long as the mod is maintained and Hytale exists. If either is discontinued, lifetime entitlements would no longer be applicable.
Can I transfer my license to a new server?
Yes! You can update your server fingerprint from your account dashboard. Run /mmofingerprint on the new server and update the fingerprint. Note: fingerprint changes are limited to once every 30 days to prevent abuse.
Is there a free trial?
The base mod is free to use with full functionality. Premium features are optional add-ons for commercial servers that need extra control or branding.
How does offline validation work?
We sign your entitlements with Ed25519 cryptography. The mod verifies the signature locally without needing to contact any server. Your license is bound to your server fingerprint for security.
