What's new in v0.14.3 - April 2026

Permissions

  • Player-specific level caps via permission node - Server owners can now restrict an individual player's max level per skill (or globally) by granting a permission node. Useful for tiered access (free vs VIP, trial accounts capped at low levels). Permissions can only lower the cap configured in custom-skills.json — they never raise it. Per-skill nodes override the all wildcard so admins can carve exceptions out of a global restriction. Cap-locked players still gain XP up to their cap, then silently stop, exactly like hitting the configured max
  • /mmoconfig resetpermcache - New admin subcommand to clear the cached permission lookups after granting or revoking nodes in your permissions plugin

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed elite mobs becoming invulnerable after taking multiple hits - Elite mobs were spawning with a health boost modifier, then immediately calling stats.maximizeStatValue() in the healToFull() method. This corrupted the entity's damage state, preventing the health decrease calculation from applying correctly on subsequent hits. The fix is to remove the heal-to-full behavior entirely and let the health modifier work normally. Elites now take damage as expected and die when their HP reaches zero
